Development and innovation: Altarea Cogedim showcases 490,000m² of retail initiatives

November 17, 2015
Altarea Cogedim is attending the international retail property trade show MAPIC in Cannes from November 17 to 19, 2015 to present the latest news on its shopping centers under development, including the L’Avenue 83 shopping and entertainment center in Toulon, and Paris-Boulevard Macdonald in the French capital. Both projects are scheduled to open in spring 2016. This year’s MAPIC is also an opportunity for the Group to promote its expertise in transit-hub retail (Gare de l’Est, Gare du Nord, Gare Paris-Montparnasse and Gare Paris-Austerlitz) and showcase the extension-renovation work being carried out on the regional Cap 3000 shopping center, the first deliveries of which are scheduled for 2016.

As France’s third largest retail real estate company, Altarea Cogedim boasts an investment pipeline of over €1.6 billion net, representing more than 490,000m² under development. More than 80% of pipeline projects are in regions enjoying strong economic and demographic growth: the Ile-de-France and Grand Sud Est regions in France, and northern Italy.

Altarea Cogedim has continued to pursue its development, refurbishment and portfolio decision-making strategy in 2015. Its aim is to build a portfolio concentrated on larger assets in order to reduce the number of assets to 38 shopping centers with an average unit size of around €100 million.
