  • AltaFund’s first acquisition, located in the heart of Paris’ 6th arrondissement (Boulevard Raspail).
  • Bercy Village’s 10-year anniversary.
  • Acquisition by Altarea Cogedim of 96.5% of the capital of Rue du Commerce.

2011
  • Friendly takeover bid for RueduCommerce, a leading French online retailer.
  • Opening of two new structures: a subsidiary in Montpellier, Cogedim Languedoc-Roussillon and a branch office in Aix-en-Provence.
  • Opening of La Cour des Capucins in Thionville.
  • Creation of a commercial property investment fund: Altafund.
  • Opening of the Espace Saint-Christophe in Tourcoing.
  • Delivery and inauguration of the First, the highest office building in La Défense and the largest HQE® project in France. Its inauguration was part of the Grand Paris project and was organised under the High Patronage of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The First has won several French and international awards.

2010
  • Acquisition of the Cap 3000. shopping centre.
  • Altarea Cogedim began refurbishment of the former Laennec hospital, creating a new district in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
  • Altarea Cogedim invests in renewable energies and enters the capital of 8 minutes 33.
  • Opening of Okabé au Kremlin-Bicêtre, Paris, Family Villages in Limoges, and Due Torri in Stezzano (Italy).

2009
  • Restoration of a legendary venue: Salle Wagram.
  • Altarea Cogedim takes on the challenge of addressing environmental and sustainable development concerns :
    - Altarea Cogedim receives one of the first three "HQE® Commerce" certifications (high environmental quality for commercial buildings) for the Okabe shopping centre in Kremlin Bicêtre.
    - All of its residential properties have obtained HQE® "NF Logement" certification.

2008
  • €375 million capital increase; ABP acquires a stake in Altarea.
  • Reorganisation by business lines, resulting in particular in turning development and diversification companies into subsidiaries under Altareit, which is also listed on Eurolist by NYSE Euronext Paris.

2007
  • Acquisition of Cogedim.
  • Structures adapted to the SIIC 4 regime, transformation of Altarea into a limited partnership with share capital ("société en commandite par actions" or SCA).
  • Becomes the majority shareholder, alongside the French government, with a 34% stake, in Semmaris (a semi-public company for the development and management of the Paris region Marché d’Intérêt National wholesale market), which manages the Rungis Marché d’Intérêt National (MIN), the world’s largest wholesale food market by volume with sales of €7.5 million, within the framework of a concession agreement expiring in 2034.
  • Opening of five shopping centres in France and Italy.
  • Simplification of the company’s shareholding structure by merging Altafinance and Altarea.

2006
  • Acquisition of Bail Investissement Foncière’s property portfolio.
  • Acquisition of a stake in Russian property development company RosEvroDevelopment.

2005
  • The Altarea Group opts for SIIC status.
  • Opening of the Casetta Mattei shopping centre in Rome.
  • Agreement reached with Locafimo, a subsidiary of the Orion Group, for the acquisition of 6 shopping centres in France with 32,000m² GLA of floor space on a joint-venture basis for €137 M.

2004
  • Start of operations in Spain with the creation of Altarea Espana.
  • Altarea is listed on Eurolist by Euronext Paris.
  • Acquisition of Imaffine and merger of Imaffine into Altarea.
  • Completion of Les Tanneurs in Lille.

2003
  • Altarea is awarded the contract for Carré de Soie (Vaulx-en-Velin/Villeurbanne), Porte Jeune (Mulhouse) and L’Aubette (Strasbourg).
  • Altarea Italia signs a partnership agreement to build a shopping centre in Rome (Casetta Mattei Center)
  • Completion of 117 homes in Argenteuil.

2002
  • Shopping centres opened: Espace Jaurès in Brest, Espace Grand’Rue in Roubaix, Côté Seine in Argenteuil, Boutiques Gare du Nord in Paris.
  • Start of Retail Park business with the creation of Compagnie Retail Park.
  • Funds managed by Morgan Stanley acquire a 20% stake in Altarea.

  • Start of operations in Italy with the creation of Altarea Italia.
