Digital shopping center: affirming leadership

A pioneer in the field of e-commerce in France, Rue du Commerce was founded on a business model unique in the country featuring online sales of high-tech products. The company’s flair for innovation leaves no room for doubt. In 2007, it launched the "Galerie Marchande," the first online marketplace in France, followed by its mobile application in 2008.

Rue du Commerce further strengthened its strategic momentum in 2011, joining Altarea Cogedim group and its portfolio of 42 shopping centers. Driven by shared intuition about potential synergies between brick-and-mortar and online retail, Altarea Cogedim and Rue du Commerce are pursuing an ambitious goal: work together to invent the retail of tomorrow by designing new offers for greater fluidity between settings and patterns of consumption rooted in the physical and virtual worlds.
